A new chapter of my life has begun and therefore, I feel like I should refresh this good ol' blog of mine. I think I first made this in 2008 and didn't keep up with it at all! So, I decidedly deleted my old, silly posts and will now start anew!
What has happened most recently in my life?
Well, this past May I finished my first year of college at WVU which went pretty well and I rounded out the school with a GPA good enough to make the dean's list! Ooooh, so exciting. After much deliberation over the course of the summer and other eventful things, I decided that going back there for a second year was not the best decision for me!
PLOT TWIST!After said deliberation, I prayed and read my scriptures so much and just thought about how I really needed to make a big change in my life! Unexpectedly, the answer I found was that I needed to go to
UTAH! This was actually shocking for not only my parents and the rest of my family, but mostly shocking for me! I had always been the one to say, "Oh, I'll never move to Utah." But everything happens for a reason and I felt that I should follow my heart and the promptings I was getting and move out West! Up until about three weeks ago, I hadn't gotten my patriarchal blessing yet so I made sure to get that before I left and oh, how amazing it was. I had truly never felt the spirit that strongly ever before until then.
With patriarchal blessing in hand and a more confident feeling about making this huge change, I hopped on a plane and made my way over to the Beehive state. I've been here for about five days and so far, so good! I'm currently waiting on news from LDS Business College which is where I hope to be accepted to and going to for the next two years! I'm so happy to be in the same state with both of my sisters again but I will definitely be missing my parents back home in West Virginia. Whoops! I guess I can't really call West Virginia home anymore since I'm officially moved out here; of course, though, it is always home at heart.
For now, I'm living with my eldest sister, Alyssa, her husband Brett and my dearest nephew, Everton! I'm so glad to have them to shelter me while I find out what the future entails for me when it comes to school and whether or not I'm going to be moving to Salt Lake. The only thing I can do is wait and enjoy the time I have here! And believe me, I am absolutely
LOVING being able to play with Everton while also being incredibly lazy allllll day with Alyssa.
Utah, bring it on! I'm ready to experience great, great things so don't disappoint!
